Capturing Signatures on the Call Report
Signature capture is required for call sampling. However, in order to comply with business processes, regulations, or legal requirements, users may also need to document HCP acknowledgment or consent for a variety of other activities. Users can capture signatures on the call report for the following activities:
- Capturing Electronic Signatures for Sampling - Signature capture is typically required for sample disbursement
- Capturing Signatures for Calls Without Samples - Some organizations require users to confirm a call took place by capturing a signature, even though samples and details are not recorded. An HCP signature can also be required for acknowledgment of product detailing.
When capturing signatures, the following functionality is available:
- Swapping the Signee - Users can swap the sample recipient for another signer on the signature capture page
- Stamping the Signature Location on the Call Report - GPS location stamping provides a precise way to record where a signature was captured, to confirm that the user captured a signature and completed the call as described
- Viewing Captured Signatures - On the Browser platform, administrators can view captured electronic signatures for auditing purposes
Depending on configuration of additional Veeva CRM modules, users can also capture electronic signatures for the following activities:
- Capturing and Displaying Signatures on Contract Partner Records - Accounts may need to sign contracts during a call
- Consent Capture Overview - An HCP signature may be needed for consent opt-in
- Medical Inquiry Lifecycle - An HCP signature may be captured to confirm a Medical Inquiry after the inquiry details are recorded
- Order Signature Capture - A signature is needed to confirm receipt of product shipments
