Announcements

Removing the View Media Library Visualforce Page

The View Media Library Visualforce page will be removed from all orgs with the 22R2.0 release. Users can access the CLM media library directly in the Veeva CRM Desktop app. If admins created custom tabs and assigned the View Media Library Visualforce page to those tabs, the tabs are not removed and display a message indicating the page is no longer supported. Admins can manually delete the custom tabs to remove the message for users.

Supporting Engage Sandbox Releases and CRM Desktop (Windows) in 22R1.3

Beginning with the 22R1.3 Production Release on June 30, 2022, Engage will have a sandbox available for testing before production releases. This enables admins to test upcoming Engage functionality in their sandbox orgs before deployment to production.

To use the new Engage Sandbox after the 22R1.3 Production release, create a support ticket with the list of CRM sandbox orgs to link to the Engage Sandbox. Admins can assign Engage licenses to test users once the sandbox org is linked to the Engage Sandbox.

Previously created meetings and groups are no longer available once the org is linked to the Engage Sandbox. Existing meetings must be rescheduled and created groups must be recreated.

See Supporting Engage and CRM Desktop Sandbox Releases for more information.

Approved Email On Lightning

The 22R2.0 release will update Approved Email to include the Lightning interface. These User Visible Changes are not planned to affect the current functionality and capabilities of Approved Email. The Lightning interface for Approved Email will be enabled by default for both the Browser Classic and Lightning platforms.

Improved Account Picker

To enable customers to easily find accounts, Veeva CRM 22R2 will include an improved search experience across many account-related entry points, including Sphere of Influence, Approved Email, Media, Survey Targets, Detail Pages and Call Attendee. The account search modals will be consistently presented, including standard and custom fields related to each account. Users will be able to select either a list view or table view.

An evaluation app will be available on June 30, 2022 to enable customers to test this functionality prior to the 22R2.0 release.

Features

Account Management

Removing Accounts from Territories on the iPad

iPad users can now quickly remove accounts from their territory via a dedicated button on the Account detail page. This button prompts the user to create a DCR to remove the account from their territory, which can include a reason for removal. The DCR can then be routed via the Salesforce Approval Process for additional review and approval.

Approved Email

Supporting EM_Speaker_vod and EM_Catalog_vod in Relationship Tokens

Content creators can reference relationships between two disconnected objects, EM_Speaker_vod and EM_Catalog_vod, using the relationship Approved Email token. This enables greater flexibility when creating Approved Email content to use in Events Management.

Engage

Supporting Engage and CRM Desktop Sandbox Releases (Available June 30, 2022)

Engage and Veeva CRM on Desktop features are available in sandbox orgs before production releases to allow admins to test upcoming Engage and Veeva CRM on Desktop functionality.

MCCP

MCCP Filtering by Product-Specific Metrics

To make it easier for users to filter accounts that are MCCP targets, MCCP filters only display values that are defined for the selected product instead of displaying all values for the metric. This feature is available from locations that support filtering MCCP target accounts, for example, My Schedule and the Targets and Edit Goals tabs in My Plan.

New Videos

The following videos were added as part of this release:

Multichannel Cycle Plans

Platform Description Before After

iPad

If a customer has a product-specific metric configuration, MCCP filters only display values specific to the selected product. This applies to all locations that support filtering MCCP target accounts - My Plan (Targets), My Plan (Edit Goals), and My Schedule.

The filters only display active values from the value list on the MCCP Target object for pull-in picklist fields from the Account, Address, and TSF objects.

MyInsights

Platform Description Before After

Browser (Lightning)

The Visibility_Criteria_vod field is sometimes case sensitive for MyInsights content in Lightning, so Veeva recommends treating it as a case sensitive field to ensure the content always displays.

Veeva CRM Desktop

Platform Description Before After

CRM Desktop (Windows)

When starting a call or Engage meeting from a call report, the Veeva CRM Desktop app does not install automatically or rely on a browser cookie to launch the app from the browser. If the app is installed, it launches automatically and initiates call mode. If the app is not installed, the app does not launch and call mode is not initiated. Users must install the app and start the call or Engage meeting again.

Improved Account Picker

To enable customers to easily find accounts, the 22R2.0 release will include an improved search experience across many account-related entry points. An eval app will be available on June 30, 2022 to enable customers to test this functionality prior to the 22R2.0 release.
