Veeva CRM supports the display of call history related lists for each type of account profile. The matrix below provides a guideline of which related list is appropriate to display on each account profile.

For example, Sarah Jones is a KAM who needs to review information for accounts in her territory. She wants to view information on Call and Call Key Messages, so she access the Timeline to view those items.

Configuring Call Related Lists

Ensure initial configuration is complete to use this functionality.

Add the View Signatures button to the Calls related list to view the last 50 calls for the person account in a list view.

Using Call Related Lists

To ensure data quality on calls and related lists:

  • Do not provide access to the New button on any related list. Creating calls is supported only via documented call entry points.
  • You can allow editing of existing calls by drilling down on the Call Name or Call ID field from a related list.  You should remove the ID fields of the other objects on these related lists to remove confusion.  For example, on the Call Expenses (Individual Expenses) related list, hide the Call Expense Name field and only expose the Call field. This way the user only has one field to drill down into.
