Announcements

Updating Engage Meeting License Management

We are updating the Engage Meeting license management process to help streamline assigning users to Engage Groups. This change will occur with the 21R3.3 release in March 2022 and will enable user assignments to be controlled via data-loading to improve user management.

Removing Support for the Veeva Engage App on iOS 12.3 and Older

As of November 1, 2021, Veeva Engage App users on iOS versions 12.3 and older will no longer be able to join meetings.

VAdmin Email Address Change

To align with Veeva internal security policies, the vadmin email address managed by Veeva now uses the @sfmail.veevacrm.com domain. The @veeva.com email domain is no longer supported. For orgs with policies restricting allowed email domains, Veeva added sfmail.veevacrm.com to the allowed list. Customers do not need to take any action for this change.

Salesforce My Domain Now Required

Salesforce has announced that My Domain will be required in all Salesforce orgs as part of their Winter ’22 release. Salesforce Winter ‘22 will be released starting August 2021 for sandboxes and October 2021 for production orgs. See this Trust post for more information.

Lightning Ready

In 21R3, all Veeva customer orgs which are not already upgraded will be upgraded to be Lightning-ready. This does not automatically enable Lightning for users but converts Veeva functionality to be Lightning compatible. See Schedule of Lightning Upgrades for more information.

Salesforce’s Multi-factor Authentication Requirement for February 2022

Salesforce announced that beginning on February 1, 2022, they require customers to enable multi-factor authentication (MFA) in order to access Salesforce. MFA is available at no extra cost and continues with a commitment to provide the highest level of security for your products. See full announcement here.

Veeva CRM was reviewed and tested with Salesforce MFA enabled. Veeva CRM on Online, iOS, Windows, and WeChat platforms all support MFA without configuration changes.

Users who log in with delegated Auth using Ping Identity need to use Salesforce Authenticator. Veeva is still researching if 3rd party authenticator applications (e.g. Google Authenticator) work with MFA.

When configuring MFA, do not select the Multi-Factor Authentication for API Logins check box. Selecting this check box prevents usage of Veeva CRM and potentially impacts custom integrations with Salesforce.
