Configuring Inventory Monitoring
Initial configuration includes the setup of all default functionality for Inventory Monitoring. Advanced functionality requires additional configuration.
Prerequisites
Ensure the following:
- All desired product catalogs are enabled for Inventory Monitoring
- Appropriate products are listed in each user’s My Setup page
To configure Inventory Monitoring for all users:

Grant the following permissions for each profile that requires access:

Enable profile access for the following Visualforce pages:
- Clone_Inventory_vod
- Edit_Inventory_vod
- New_Inventory_vod
- View_Inventory_vod

Ensure Visualforce page overrides exist and are enabled for the View, Edit, and Clone buttons in the Buttons, Links, and Actions section for the Inventory _Monitoring_vod object.

Ensure profile access is enabled for the VODDatabaseApi Apex class.

Enable profile access for the VODRedirect_4000_vod Visualforce page to enable Mass Add Mode for the Browser platform. If Single Line Entry Mode is preferred, do not provide this access.

Place the Inventory Monitorings related list on the appropriate Account_vod page layout.

Edit the Inventory Monitorings related list properties on the Account_vod page layout:
- Deselect the New standard button
- Select the New Inventory custom button

Place the Inventory_Monitoring_vod field on the appropriate Product_vod page layout.

Activate the following VMOCs for offline platforms:
- Inventory_Monitoring_vod - Select Include Attachments
- Inventory_Monitoring_Line_vod
The Inventory Monitorings related list functions correctly only on the Account_vod page; it should not be placed on other pages.
If multi-currency support is enabled, activate the CurrencyType VMOC.
