Product Catalog Overview

Veeva CRM's Product Catalog contains all product types available for use within the various modules of the application. The flexible structure of the Product Catalog allows for the granular definition of products and related items a life sciences company sells.

The Product Catalog is stored in the Product_vod object. You can add custom fields to this object for users to reference as a catalog of information about products and competitive intelligence. Special fields in the Product Catalog drive options in My Setup Products, Call Report, and Product Metrics.

The Product Catalog houses product data used within CRM to manage key functions such as:

• Call Detailing
• Samples
• Orders
• Inventory Monitoring
• My Setup Products
• Product Restrictions
