Using Opt-in Signature Capture vs. Paper Consent
Admins can enable two different methods to capture classic opt-in consent from an account:
- Signature Capture – The account uses the device to sign his or her opt-in consent. This option is only available on offline devices. Signature Capture is made available by placing the Signature_Datetime_vod field on the appropriate Multichannel_Consent_vod page layouts.
- Paper Consent – Paper consent is made available by placing the Signature_ID_vod field on the appropriate Multichannel_Consent_vod page layouts.
This functionality only applies when using Classic Consent. It does not apply if using Capturing Consent for Approved Email.
On offline devices, these two methods can be made simultaneously available based on their placement and requirement on the page layout.
The following tables describe the page layout requirements for the four possible configurations of these two methods.
