Managing Expense Estimates in the Refreshed Events Management UI

  • iPad

Event organizers using the refreshed Events Management UI can add expense estimates to their event and view key metrics about those estimates directly from an event.

Who Can Use This Feature?

  • Platform – iPad
  • Licensing – Requires an Events Management License
  • Users – End users

Configuring Event Attendees

To configure this feature for end users:

  1. Ensure Using the Refreshed Events Management UI is enabled.
  2. Add the Expense Estimates related list to the appropriate EM_Event_vod object page layouts.

Viewing Expense Estimates

To help organizers visualize the current status of their event’s estimated expenses, a summary widget displays in the Estimates related list. This widget groups the event's expense estimates by up to nine expense types, as well as a metric for the sum of all estimates.

Additionally, if Managing Expenses in the Refreshed Events Management UI is also enabled and end users have at least FLS read permission to the Committed_vod and Actual_vod fields on the Expense_Header_vod object, metrics display in the Estimates widget for both Total Committed and Total Actual expenses associated with the event.

In multi-currency orgs, expenses with different currencies do not display sums.

Managing Event Estimates in the Manage Modal

End users can also edit, add, or remove event estimates for their event by selecting Manage from the Expense Estimates related list. To help visualize budget amounts, the following sums display in column headers when added to the related list:

  • Estimate_vod
  • Committed_vod
  • Actual_vod

In multi-currency orgs, event estimates with different currencies will not display sums.
