Delivery Period Rules
Defining Minimum Timeframes Between Delivery Orders
- Browser (Classic)
- iPad
- Windows Tablet
To aid over-the-counter (OTC) Accounts with product deliveries, cost control, or inventory shortages, users can define a set minimum time frame between delivery orders using Delivery Rules. These rules are used to guide the user on available delivery dates at the time of the order capture. If the user selects a date not permitted, a warning displays.
- Delivery rules can be set as limit bound, preventing users from submitting Orders
- Delivery rules can be created for different accounts based on segmentation
- Delivery Rules can be created for a particular product or at a total Order level
- Delivery Rules can be created for Kits if the Kit is a product type Order, however, Delivery Rules for individual Kit items is not supported
Configuring Minimum Timeframes Between Delivery Orders

- Create two Delivery Rules:
- Minimum Timeframe between two deliveries - at the Order level
- Allowed Deliverytime frame
Some rules and conditions to apply:
-
Create a rule to restrict users from selecting a delivery date that does not meet the minimum required timeframe between delivery orders
-
Create a rule to specify available timeframes for delivery of specific products
-
Flag a rule as Limit Bound to prevent users from signing or submitting an order with invalid delivery dates
-
Associate a delivery rule to an Account, Account Partner, Account Group, Order Campaign, or a Contract
Using Minimum Timeframes Between Delivery Orders
If a delivery date is entered outside the Allowed Delivery Timeframe, users are not able to enter a product quantity. Users can change the date as long as it fits within the Minimum Delivery Timeframe.
Allowed Delivery Timeframe
- iPad
- Browser (Classic)
- Windows Tablet
The Allowed Delivery Timeframe allows users to create delivery period pricing rules with overlapping start and end dates, ensuring orders are delivered in a certain timeframe. This prevents confusion in the delivery system as products are often unavailable for a certain period of time are seasonal.
For example, Cholecap is unavailable from July to August. To prevent users from placing Orders with deliveries between the months of July and August, Sarah Jones creates two delivery period rules. The first rule allows for delivery from the months of January until June. The second rule allows for delivery between September and December.
If an Order has multiple deliveries, each delivery must meet at least one rule criteria.
Using Allowed Delivery TImeframe
The Delivery Period Rule utilizing an Allowed Delivery Timeframe functions with inclusive logic. This allows users to apply as many multiple delivery period rules as necessary at the same time.
Administrators can configure a Minimum Delivery Timeframe and a Delivery Period Rule at the same time. If a user selects a delivery date that violates both Minimum Delivery Timeframe rule and a Delivery Period Rule, an inaccurate error may display. To prevent this, Administrators must use the same error text for both rules to prevent confusion.
Managing Stock with Delivery Period Rules
- iPad
- Browser (Classic)
- Windows Tablet
Users can also manage stock with Allowed Delivery Timeframes rules.
For example, Verteo Biopharma suggests HCPs order Cholecap 10mg for delivery in August-September to stockup before cold and flu season. Sarah can create two delivery period rules: one with allowed delivery time frame of January through May and another with allowed delivery time frame from August through December. This prevents Verteo Biopharma from shipping stock unnecessarily in the June and July Months.
