Visibility of Accounts and Territories

Accounts display on the My Accounts screen based on the value selected from the Territory picklist. The Territory picklist contains the territories the user is assigned to and can view. The territory also controls which territory fields display in the list. For manager-level territories, the My Accounts screen displays all accounts assigned to that territory as well as the accounts assigned to its child territories based on the territory picklist value selected. The values displayed in the Territory picklist include all the territories that directly roll up to the selected territory in the Territory Hierarchy.
When the All Accounts option in the Territory picklist is selected, the View or List displays all of the accounts a user has access to that match the view criteria or account list, not just those aligned with the territories the user has access to. If the display columns contain fields from the Territory Specific Fields (TSF) object, the view or list populates TSF display fields based on the TSF record for the user's default territory. If there is no TSF record for the user's default territory, all records are sorted alphabetically and the TSF values from the first record in the sorted list display. If there are no TSFs associated with the account and the Territory field is selected as a display column, blank values display for the column in My Accounts.
Admins can disable the All Accounts option by enabling the DISABLE_ALL_ACCOUNTS Veeva Setting and ensuring the user is aligned to a territory. The All Accounts option is also removed when the View criteria includes Territory Specific Fields.
A user with Modify All Data privileges, for example, a System Administrator, can modify any public view saved in My Accounts.
