Reviewing Sent Emails in the Account Timeline

Users can view emails sent to accounts by selecting the View Email link in the Account Timeline details. This allows users to quickly review what information has already been shared with accounts about particular products.

For example, Sarah Jones is a KAM who needs to review Cholecap detail information sent to Dr. Clinton Ackerman by users in her territory. She selects View Email and has access to the emailed information.

Configuring Sent Emails in the Account Timeline

Ensure initial configuration is complete to use this functionality.

To enable this feature:

  1. Grant users the following permissions:

    Fields

    FLS

    Sent_Email_vod

  1. Enable the Timeline_View_Email_Link_vod Approved Email setting with the appropriate value:

    • 0 – Everyone can view the email (default value)
    • 1 – Only the owner and above in the hierarchy can view the email
    • 2 – Only the owner can view the email

If a Sent_email_vod or Approved_Document_vod record is not accessible to the user due to sharing rules, an error displays when selecting the link from the Account Timeline.
