Setting the Timeline as the Default View for an Account

When accessing an account, users can set the Timeline view as the primary landing screen, allowing quick assessment of recent activity for the account. For example, Sarah Jones is a KAM who often needs to review calls made to the accounts in her territory. Sarah’s admin sets the Timeline as her default view, allowing Sarah to navigate quickly to the information she needs to review.
Configuring the Timeline as the Default View for an Account
Ensure initial configuration is complete to use this functionality.
To set the Account Overview Timeline page as the default landing page for an Account, enable the DEFAULT_ACCOUNT_PROFILE_vod Veeva Setting as follows:
- For Commercial CRM:
- 0 or 2 = Account Detail (default)
- 1 or 3 = Account Overview Timeline (default)
- For Medical CRM:
- 0 or 1 = Account Overview Timeline (default)
- 2 or 3 = Account Detail (default)
If users do not have the Timeline configured, the setting is ignored and the standard Account Detail page displays.
Once the Default Account View is configured, when a user accesses an Account, the Timeline page displays with an action list allowing them to perform the following actions:
