Configuring the Product Catalog

Initial configuration includes the setup of all default functionality for the Product Catalog. Advanced functionality requires additional configuration.

To configure the product catalog for business admins:

  1. Grant the following permissions:

    Object

    Record Type

    OLS

    Fields

    FLS

    Product_vod

    n/a

    CRUD

    All Fields

    Edit

    My_Setup_Products_vod

    n/a

    RU

    Favorite_vod

    Edit
  2. Grant business admins access to the My Setup tab.

To configure the product catalog for end users:

  1. Grant the following permissions:

    Object

    Record Type

    OLS

    Fields

    FLS

    Product_vod

    n/a

    R

    All Fields

    Read

    My_Setup_Products_vod

    n/a

    RU

    Favorite_vod

    Edit
  2. Grant end users access to the My Setup tab.
  3. Activate the appropriate VMOCs for the Product_vod object for offline devices.
