Downloading Media Files

Users can generate a consolidated view of a presentation’s associated media files by selecting the View All Media Button from a CLM presentation. This helps to reduce the time downloading media files and allows users to quickly view all the media files for troubleshooting.

For example, Sarah Jones has a presentation that does not display properly on her offline device. She wants to quickly view and download all the media files for the presentation to find the error. She navigates to the presentation record online and selects the View All Media button, then selects the file links to download the appropriate files. After discovering which file contains the error, Sarah informs her company so they can fix the content.

Configuring the View All Media Button

To enable this functionality:

  1. Grant end users access to the View_All_Media_vod Visualforce page.
  2. Add the View_All_Media_vod button to the CLM_Presentation_vod object page layout.

Downloading All Media

Users can navigate to the appropriate CLM_Presentation_vod record and select the View All Media button to download all of the presentations’ media files.

The following information displays for each media file: which contains the following information for each media file:

  • Display Order
  • Key Message
  • Description
  • Media File
  • Location
  • Status
  • Sub Presentation

Selecting the hyperlinks in the Media File column downloads the CLM content from the respective location (Content Delivery Network or Content Server).
