Executing Surveys from CLM

  • iPad

Surveys allow users to collect relevant information from HCPs and others. To eliminate the need to navigate away from a presentation to complete a survey, users can execute a survey directly from the media player.

For example, Sarah Jones meets with Dr. Clinton Ackerman and presents CLM content about Cholecap. She needs to complete a survey regarding Dr. Ackerman’s thoughts about the presentation, so when she finishes her presentation, Sarah selects Survey from the action menu and the survey displays directly on top of the media player. After completing the survey, she submits and returns to the presentation.

Configuring Surveys in CLM

Ensure initial configuration for CLM and Surveys are complete before enabling this functionality.

To allow surveys to display during CLM presentations:

  1. Grant the following permissions to the Enable_Survey_Overlay_vod and Survey_vod fields on the CLM_Presentation_vod object:
    • Admin - FLS Edit
    • End user - FLS Read
  2. Add the Enable_Survey_Overlay_vod and Survey_vod fields to the CLM_Presentation_vod object page layout.
  3. Select the Enable_Survey_Overlay_vod check box on the appropriate CLM_Presentation_vod record.

To prevent users from accessing surveys from CLM, remove Create permission to the Survey_Target_vod object.

Ensure the crm_survey_v and crm_enable_survey_overlay_v fields on the Multichannel Presentation document type are activated in Vault. A corresponding Survey_vod record must be created for the Survey object in Vault.

Using Surveys in CLM

The Survey button displays in the action menu for a presentation when the following conditions are met:

  • The presentation is associated with an account
  • A survey is associated with the presentation

Users can save, submit, or cancel a survey by selecting the appropriate button, or swipe the survey out of view. This keeps the survey in memory until the user exits CLM at which point the survey displays on top of the call report for further action.

If the user saves the survey from the overlay, it displays on top of the Call after exiting CLM. However, if the user submits the survey from the overlay during a presentation, it does not display.
