Authorizing Approved WeChat in the Tencent WeChat Service Account

Authorizing access to the Tencent WeChat Service Account

Customers need to authorize the Approved WeChat server to access the Tencent WeChat Service Account as a third-party platform. Once authorized, Approved WeChat can send messages to subscribed HCP's through the customer's Service Account.

Whitelist the Veeva Approved WeChat server IP address

The WeChat Service Account administrator needs to allowlist the Veeva Approved WeChat Server IP address in the Service Account:

Authorizing the Approved WeChat server in the WeChat Service Account

The WeChat Service Account administrator needs to follow these steps to authorize the Veeva Approved WeChat server to have access to the WeChat Service Account:

  1. Create the authorization link in the following format:

Sandbox https://awec-sbx-app-ap.veevacrm.com/wechatcrm/authorize?orgId=<customer orgid>&appId=<service account app id>
  • Replace the <customer orgid> with the salesforce org ID.
  • Replace the <service account app id> with the Tencent WeChat Service Account's APP ID.
Production https://awec-app-ap.veevacrm.com/wechatcrm/authorize?orgId=<customer orgid>&appId=<service account app id>
  • Replace the <customer orgid> with the salesforce org ID.
  • Replace the <service account app id> with the Tencent WeChat Service Account's APP ID.
  1. Paste the edited URL in a desktop browser.
  2. Scan the displayed QR code with the Service Account administor's WeChat instance.
  3. Grant authorization to the Approved WeChat server.
