Using Key Messages in Approved Email Content
- iPad
- Browser
Approved Email content frequently corresponds to information in defined key messages. These key messages can be associated with Approved Email content and stamped on sent emails, enabling end users and content admins to clearly see which key message was communicated in the email.
For example, Sarah Jones sends an Approved Email to Dr. Clinton Ackerman containing a fragment discussing the efficacy of Cholecap. This fragment was associated with the Cholecap Efficacy key message in Vault, so when Sarah sends the email, she can see the associated key message in the Sent_Email_vod record associated with her email to Dr. Ackerman.
In another example, Sarah Jones is reviewing her past emails sent to Dr. Bob Adams. She looks at the key message field on each Sent_Email_vod record and sees, at a glance, which key messages were recently communicated to Dr. Adams. This helps her plan her upcoming visit with Dr. Adams.

Associating Key Messages to Approved Email Content
Key messages must be associated to Approved Email content in Vault:
- Navigate to the appropriate record in Vault.
- Use the Key Message field to associate the appropriate key message.
Stamping Sent Emails with Key Messages
If Approved Email content with an associated key message is sent, the resulting Sent_Email_vod record automatically stamps with the associated key message. This association is stored in the Key_Message_vod field.
