There are three types of directional mapping:
- Bidirectional mapping is the mapping of values that exist in both CRM and Network. It is used for communications in both directions (Inbound and Outbound) between CRM and Network.
- Inbound mapping is the mapping of a value that exists in Network but does not have a unique equivalent in CRM. Using this mapping type, the Network value is assigned to a CRM value that is already mapped to Network via Bidirectional mapping. All Network values that do not have a unique equivalent in CRM should have mapping in this direction. This mapping type is used for Inbound (from Network to CRM) data transactions only.
- Outbound mapping is the mapping of a value that exists in CRM but does not have a unique equivalent in Network. Using this mapping type, a CRM value is assigned to a Network value that is already mapped to CRM via Biridectional mapping. All CRM values that do not have a unique equivalent in Network should have mapping in this direction. This mapping type is used for Outbound (from CRM to Network) data transactions only.
