Cvent Object Field Mapping Codes

Fields on the following Cvent objects are mapped to fields on CRM objects using field-specific Mapping Codes:

  • Event
  • Attendee
  • Contact

The following sections outline the mapping codes for all supported fields of all supported Cvent objects, as well as their compatible field types in CRM.

Cvent Event Mapping Codes

Only fields in the following table can be mapped to fields in CRM. Custom Cvent Event fields are not supported.

Special Event Mapping Codes

There are two special codes that are used to map data from the Event Planner and Stakeholder to the EM_Event in CRM:

  • Event Planner – An event can have a maximum of one event planner in Cvent. Event planner information is stored in fields identical to fields on the Cvent Contact object. To map event planner fields, admins must use a special mapping code with the following syntax:

    planners.{contactCode}

    Where {contactCode} is replaced with a Contact mapping code for the appropriate field. Every contact mapping code, except for the contactworkaddress code, can be mapped using this special code.

    For example, planners.mobilePhone

  • Stakeholder – An event can have a maximum of one stakeholder in Cvent. Stakeholder information is stored in fields identical to fields on the Cvent Contact object. To map event stakeholder fields, admins must use a special mapping code with the following syntax:

    stakeholders.{contactCode}

    Where {contactCode} is replaced with a Contact mapping code for the appropriate field. Every contact mapping code, except for the contactworkaddress code, can be mapped using this special code.

    For example, stakeholders.mobilePhone

Cvent Attendee Mapping Codes

The Cvent Attendee object can be mapped to the following CRM objects:

  • EM_Attendee_vod
  • EM_Speaker_vod

Only fields in the following table can be mapped to fields in either mapped object in CRM. Custom Cvent Attendee fields are not supported.

Cvent Contact Mapping Codes

The Cvent Contact object maps to the following CRM objects:

  • Account
  • Contact
  • EM_Speaker_vod
  • User

Mappings between these objects are used when:

  • Searching for existing Cvent Contacts
  • Creating Cvent Contacts from Account records
  • Creating Cvent Contacts from Contact records
  • Creating Cvent Contacts from EM_Speaker_vod records
  • Creating Cvent Contacts from User records

Only fields in the following table can be mapped to fields in any of the mapped objects in CRM. Custom Cvent Contact fields are not supported.

Special Contact Mapping Codes

The workAddress code is used to map standard address fields in CRM to standard address fields in Cvent. Mapping records using this mapping code must have the following properties:

  • Cvent Field – workAddress
  • Salesforce Field API Name – address
  • Sync Direction – Outbound

This mapping code programmatically maps data from address fields on CRM objects to address fields on the Cvent Contact object. The specific fields in CRM vary based on the mapped CRM object:

  • If mapped to the Account CRM object – Address information is pulled into Cvent from the following Address fields on the account’s Primary Address:
