Managing the Time Frame Filters

The values shown in the Time Periods and Time Scale filters can be configured to display fewer options. The filters options can be configured by analytics market or by report record type.

Configuring Time Frame Filters Options by Analytics Market

To configure the Time Scales picklist:

  1. Grant admins FLS edit permission to the Time_Scales_vod field on the Analytic_Market_vod object.
  2. Add the Time_Scales_vod field to the Analytic_Market_vod object page layout.
  3. Navigate to the Analytic Markets tab.
  4. Select the appropriate Analytic_Market_vod record.
  5. Select Edit.
  6. Select the desired picklist values for the Time_Scales_vod field from the Available column and move them to the Chosen column.
  7. SelectSave.

To configure the Time Periods picklist:

  1. Grant admins FLS edit permission to the Time_Periods_vod field on the Analytic_Market_vod object.
  2. Add the Time_Periods_vod field to the Analytic_Market_vod object page layout.
  3. Navigate to the Analytic Markets tab.
  4. Select the appropriate Analytic_Market_vod record.
  5. Select Edit.
  6. Select the desired picklist values for the Time_Periods_vod field from the Available column and move them to the Chosen column.
  7. SelectSave.

Configuring Time Frames Filters Options by Report Record Type

To configure the picklists for a specific report:

  1. Grant admins FLS edit permission to the following fields on the Analytic_Market_vod object:
    • Time_Periods_vod
    • Time_Scales_vod
  2. Add the following fields to the Analytic_Market_vod object page layout:
    • Time_Periods_vod
    • Time_Scales_vod
  3. Navigate to the Analytic Markets tab.
  4. Select New.
  5. Populate the Name of the Analytics_Market_vod record with the record type name of the appropriate report record type, for example Territory_Sales_Analysis_vod.
  6. Select the desired picklist values for the following fields from the Available column and move them to the Chosen column: 
    • Time_Periods_vod
    • Time_Scales_vod
  7. Select Save.

If you configure the picklists based on a market, this configuration overrides the report specific configuration, if it exists. 

Since the Average Calls Per Day, Cycle Plan Analysis, and Reach and Frequency reports are not driven by market, the picklists can only be configured for their report record types.
