Loading Product Events
Admins can load product event data for Fixed Reports to provide insight to end users about the impact of large events on the sales trends within their customer base. As part of the Fixed Reports sales reports (including the Account Summary, Territory Sales Analysis, and Territory Comparison reports), product events can be mapped against trending reports. These product events display as red flags on the reports and the Event Name displays when hovering over a flag.
Product Events are optional and are not required to view Fixed Reports.
Configuring Product Events
Product event data is stored in Product_Event_vod records and can be accessed via the related list of a Product_Catalog_vod record. Product_Event_vod records can be loaded in manually, via the Salesforce Data Loader, or through an integration process.
