Selecting Territories for Surveys

Overview

Survey creators using the Veeva MC Engine to publish Surveys can select multiple territories for survey publishing. If Territories_vod is on a page layout, a list of available Territories displays in the drop-down menu for the survey. Survey designers can select the appropriate check box next to each territory to include in the list of survey targets. Children of the selected territories in the hierarchy are automatically selected.

Territories_vod is used along with other factors to determine the following:

  • which user will be assigned as the "Owner" to One Time/Recurring surveys targets upon survey publish
  • which managers are able to create survey targets for Coaching Report surveys after they are published
  • which surveys appear for which accounts in Add New Survey Target for One Time/Recurring surveys after they are published

Configuring Survey Publishing through the MC Engine

To configure this feature:

  1. Grant Survey admins FLS Edit access to the Territories_vod field on the Survey object.

  2. Grant end users FLS Read access to the Territories_vod field on the Survey object.

  3. Verify that the Survey end user is aligned to at least one territory.
