Cloning Orders

Cloning allows users to create a copy of a saved or submitted Order to use as a new Order. Cloning an existing order instead of creating a new one saves users time and effort.

For example, Sarah Jones visits a pharmacy and prepares to take the pharmacist’s order. She opens a previously submitted order and clones it. She quickly adds or adjusts the products and amounts requested on this visit, then submits the new order.

Delivery Order cloning is not supported.

Ensure initial configuration is complete to use this functionality.

Using Clone Orders

Selecting the Clone button creates an exact copy of the saved or submitted Order, including all the values on the Order and in the Order Lines. If a user does not have access to the Order's record type, the Clone button is disabled.

The cloned Order displays in Edit mode so the user can update the date, change the Account, Save, Sign, or Submit the Order. Pricing relevant fields can also be changed. Custom fields in Orders are not copied when cloned
