Displaying Product Priority

  • Browser
  • CRM Desktop (Windows)
  • iPad

Product Priority helps guide users to detail the most relevant products during their visits to HCPs. Up to five products can be defined in a specific Product Priority sequence on call cycle entries. When users create a call report from the call cycle entry, Product Priority is listed on the call report. From the call report, users can easily reference the Product Priority for a reminder of which products are most important in their conversations with HCPs.

Configuring Product Priority

To configure this feature:

  1. Ensure Configuring Call Reporting and Managing Call Cycles are complete.

  2. Grant users Read FLS to one or more of the Product Priority fields on the Call_Cycle_Entry_vod and Call2_vod objects:

    • Product_Priority_1_vod
    • Product_Priority_2_vod
    • Product_Priority_3_vod
    • Product_Priority_4_vod
    • Product_Priority_5_vod

Grant permission for the same Product Priority fields on both objects.

  3. Place the appropriate Product Priority fields on Call2_vod page layouts, and ensure the fields are read-only for end users:

    • Product_Priority_1_vod
    • Product_Priority_2_vod
    • Product_Priority_3_vod
    • Product_Priority_4_vod
    • Product_Priority_5_vod
  4. Populate the Product Priority fields on Call_Cycle_Entry_vod records with the appropriate products:

    • Product_Priority_1_vod
    • Product_Priority_2_vod
    • Product_Priority_3_vod
    • Product_Priority_4_vod
    • Product_Priority_5_vod

Product restrictions are not enforced when data loading Product Priority. Ensure only non-restricted products are included.

Viewing Product Priority

When users create calls from a call cycle, Product Priority is copied from the call cycle entry to the call report. Users can reference the Product Priority fields on the call report to guide their conversations with HCPs. Product Priority is for reference only; on the call report, actual product detail and discussion order is determined by end users.
