Preventing Email Activity from Displaying on the Timeline

Certain users are prohibited from viewing the activity of email recipients. To allow these users to access the benefits of the Sent Email component on the Timeline while remaining compliant, Administrators can restrict permission and visibility to email activity.

Configuring Email Activity on the Timeline

To enable this feature:

  1. Remove Read access to the Email_Activity_vod object.
  2. Deactivate the VMOC for the Email_Activity_vod object.

The Sent Email component on the Timeline displays without email activities. If users have the required permissions, the View Email link remains available.
